Loved Our Stay!
Everything about the house and yard was perfect. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the bool and us grownups loved the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook what we wanted and there was plenty of room to spread out. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. I can't say enough good things about this place. And the owners were super responsive when we had a small issue.
Wouldn't stay anywhere else!!
We absolutely would not stay anywhere else in Tucson...we love Javelina House!!!! Our first morning there we woke up around 4am, it had snowed (february). We hopped in the pool and watched the sun come up, listening to the coyotes off in the distance. An absolute desert paradise!!! Hope to see you again soon, Javelina House!
"It's as good, if not better than the description and pics"
This house is an absolute dream. The design and flow of it were exceptionally thought out. I would say it is one of my favorite houses I've stayed in over the many years of i've been booking places through AirBnB. The beds were very comfortable, the location perfect for the Rincon Saguaro NP district, and the pool and hot tub were a blast. I can't recommend this place enough, It's as good, if not better than the description and pics.

We loved our stay at Javelina House. The outdoor space was great, and we saw birds, deer and coyotes. Very peaceful, quiet community and close to the park for hiking. The house was great, the bed comfortable and the kitchen was good to cook in. We hope to stay again.

We were in town for a few days and absolutely loved this house. It was so thoughtfully put together plus the desert views were stunning! It was quiet and private. The beds were very comfortable. My daughters loved swimming in the swimming pool and visiting Saguaro National park. The host was very responsive to any question we had. If we ever come through Tuscon again we would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a terrific time at the Javelina House last week for four days/nights. Although the location is slightly off the beaten path, that was part of the allure for us. That said, nearly anything you wish to do in Tucson-ish (Tombstone,the Bio Sphere, etc.) is less than an hour away. The slightly underwhelming Saguaro National Park is so close you can roll out of bed and hit a cactus. The home was clean, well-appointed and undoubtedly cool—no cookie cutter architecture here. It's large, spacious, and has floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors pretty much everywhere—with a lot of great things on premises to look at (including javelinas, which were new to us!). The pool could have been in slightly better shape, but was an amazing thing to come home to after a day in the sun-I think we were in it every day. Quiet, clean, cool place to stay in the desert. We're happy to recommend to anyone-this was a really fun place to stay, especially with family.

Where do you start when everything is perfect? The host was super easy to reach, and communication was clear. The house itself is incredible. Built in the early 70s, they've done an incredible job holding on to the charming vintage details, while making some necessary updates. We lived in Tucson for years, and what is most striking about this house is the design and function inherent. Every window frames a beautiful view, while also being placed to maximize shade from the sun. It sounds like an easy trick, but so many desert homes get it wrong, where this one gets it perfectly. Ample light throughout the home and a great layout. The pool and hot tub are spacious and welcoming, as are the surroundings. Very private. One of the best record collections, and a ton of cooking supplies. Well appointed and thoughtful. We hiked all over E. Tucson. Multiple trails VERY close. Would recommend bringing bikes as well. Streets have dedicated lanes. Check out the Tanque Verde cookout!

Javelina house was amazing. It was the ideal setting for a trip to reconnect with friends. Waking up with a view of the sunrise coming over the national park was just splendid. The house is full of delightful art and furniture. What a wonderful experience!

The Javelina House is a magical oasis. The space has been curated to provide both an elevated stylish experience but also feel very homey and comfortable. Every window has a beautiful view of Saguaros, Ocotillo, and other gorgeous plants. The vistas of the Rincon mountains from patio and pool are breathtaking. We appreciated the amazing art, sound system, and lighting through out the house. The owners have been true to the 70s architecture and let the house shine but also honored the simple materials of the era. Bathrooms and the kitchen are basic but with a great hot tub and pool, you don't feel like you are missing out. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen well appointed for any home cooking. What we loved the most was being minutes from gorgeous hikes and bike rides. We rode from the house and did the Saguaro National Park East loop and saw Javelina and road runners and also had fun biking parts of the AZT. We will be back!
